Shameless!

Sunday, lazy day until.. We manage to get out of the apartment and head over to the High Line Park by the Meatpacking district, besides the nice sunset view, we had a quite disturbing show. It ends up being that the Standard hotel encourages their guests to leave their windows uncovered while they.. Humm  “play” mommy and daddy. So as we passed by; there’s several people laughing and pointing to one of the windows.. and OMG.. is that.. !?          Yes, only in NYC..  and no, I am not posting those xxx pictures!

Dorrmingo, hasta que.. Por fin nos las arreglamos para salir del departamento eh ir a High Line Park en Meatpacking district, aparte de la vista tan bonita del atardecer, precenciamos otra algo turbia. Resulta que el Standard hotel anima a sus inquilinos a no cerrar sus cortinas mientras.. Humm “juegan” a la mama y el papa. Asi que ibamos pasando cuando, vemos a bastante gente riendo y apuntanto a una de las ventanas.. y OMG.. es eso..!?      Si, solo en NYC..  y no, no subire esas fotos xxx!

It fascinates me when you see something that you love, that sensation that is taking you breath away and while mesmerizing, you are able to recognize certain "style" and immediately you know who is the responsible for such an amazing creation.

It happens to me often; with favorite designers and Mario Testino's photography. This time around the lucky model is cover-girl Kristen Stewart for U.S. Vogue. Not only wearing Proenza Schouler, but also escorted by designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez.

Have you notice that she is been wearing a lot of accordion pleating for a while?

Even before that, I been looking, for a skirt or a dress in that fabric. I remember even being at school about a year ago and looking for that fabric to make it myself, but I never came across of something with my only two requirements:

1st. Must be Love at first sight. 2nd. and least, I mean the most important, that I can be able to afford without leaving my account in red numbers. Good news, this spring it will be everywhere. 

So let the hunt begin!

Antes de eso, ya estaba buscando por alguna falda o vestido en esa tela. Recuerdo cuando estaba en la escuela, hace poco mas de un año estuve buscando por la tela para hacerlo yo misma, pero nunca encontré algo con mis dos requisitos:

1ro. Tiene que ser amor a primera vista. 2do. y ultimo, perdón el mas importante, que sea capaz de pagar sin dejar mi cuenta en números rojos. Las buenas noticias es que para esta primavera estará dondequiera.

It was the monday after Christmas. I was in L.A. for a couple of days with some friends; while having breakfast on a pretty sunny day of 80 something degrees, NYC was buried under snow, literally. I realized then, how much I missed the previous apartment. How did I exchange a luxury condo with doorman, pool, balcony (with a nice view) for the shoebox where I live now, where I can't even fit my clothes and a window that overlooks the wall!

Sacrifices must be made, everyones quote lately, and I'm sure I am not the only one in this situation so if you REALLY want something, you better be ready for the road, because this is a long journey. . Do no let anyone tell you what you can and cannot do, and most important do no underestimate yourself.. 

Yes, the first picture, my attempt was to erase that family from the background, but I ending up liking it that way :)

Era lunes después de Navidad. Me encontraba en L.A. por algunos días con unos amigos; mientras nosotros desayunábamos en un hermoso día de 80 y tantos grados, NYC se encontraba enterrado bajo la nieve, literalmente. Fue cuando me di cuenta, en cuanto extrañaba mi apartamento anterior. Como intercambie un apartamento de lujo con personal de seguridad en la puerta, alberca, balcón (con vista bonita) por la caja de zapatos donde vivo ahora, donde no cabe nisiquiera mi ropa y una ventana con vista a la pared!

Tienes que hacer el sacrificio, lo que dice todo mundo ultimamente, y yo se que no soy  la unica en esta situacion, asi que si de VERDAD quieres algo, preparate para el camino, por que el recorrido es largo. . No dejes que nadie te diga lo que puedes hacer y lo que no, y lo mas importante no te subestimes..

Amm si, en la primera foto mi intento era borrar a la familia de atras, pero termino por gustarme así :)
