Happy New Year, it's officially 2012! Hope you enjoyed the Holidays, ate a lot and got some rest. For me this is when work is about to get intense; with Magic coming up & Fashion week prep etc etc.. 

These pictures were taken right before the holidays. Don't let the sun fool you, it was freezing that day and winter its just about to get started!

500 Days of Summer

A nice warm Winter day in LA. This is The Angels park where "500 Days of Summer" was filmed. A nice little hill in the middle of downtown LA. 

In other matters, today its the 31st!!! Yes, three exclamation points, where did this year go so fast? Being extra busy makes time fly extra fast. I haven't even think about the New year's resolution, have you?

I hope you had a great year, and if you didn't then you already know this upcoming one should be better. Always try to make the best out of it, you never know what that so called "horrible/tug experience" might lead you to.

Life has a weird way of working things out :)

Un dia muy agradable para ser Invierno en LA. Este es el "Angels park" donde se  filmo "500 Days of Summer". Una pequella colina como parque en medio de Los Angeles. Cambiando de tema, hoy es 31!!! Si, tres puntos de exclamación, a donde se nos fue el año tan rapido? Estando super ocupada hace que el tiempo se valla aun mas rapido. Ni siquiera eh pensado en mis propósitos de Año Nuevo, tu ya los tienes?

En verdad espero que hayas tenio un muy buen año, y no serlo así, entonces ya sabes que el que viene será mejor. Trata de sacar lo bueno de toda ocasión, nunca sabrás que te depara el final de una "mala/dura experiencia".

La vida tiene formas muy extrañas :)

Remember LA?

Downtown LA, Our Lady of the Angels Cathedral, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Random building & last but not least "The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising"-FIDM

This past week I went home for Christmas but before crossing the border to Mexico, I made a quick stop at my old apartment in LA; visited friends, family, enjoyed the weather and even went for a really early run around Downtown. I was waking up at 6 or 7am, (since in NY it was my 9 or 10am). When everyone was still on bed I was awake and dancing around, but of coarse when everybody was up late at night I was giving up!

How are your Holidays going so far?

La semana pasada fui a mi casa de visita por Navidad pero antes de cruzar la frontera a Mexico, hice una parada a mi viejo departamento en LA; visite amigos, familia, disfrute del clima y hasta me fui a correr tempranito por la mañana. Alrededor de las 6 o 7am ya estaba despierta (ya que en NY para mi eran las 9 o 10am). Cuando todo mundo estaba dormido yo ya estaba despierta y bailando felizmente alrededor, pero claro que cuando ellos seguían despiertos tarde por la noche yo ya me estaba dando por vencida!

Sweet Autumn

This pictures were taken mid November, when trees still had leaves; the weather was nice enough for a blazer and before all the Christmas decorations came around to its full bloom. Now stores are craziness and I am between running last minute errands (gift shopping), trying to get rid of a cold, pay a regular daily visit to the gym, cleaning and packing. As you know holiday prep is exhausting, so don't forget to relax a little and enjoy.

Estas fotos fueron tomadas a mediados de Noviembre, cuando lo arboles aun tenia hojas; el clima era aduecuado solo para un saco ligero y antes de que las decoraciones Navideñas aparecieran por toda la cuidad. Ahora las tiendas son una locura y yo me encuentro entre mandados de ultima hora (comprando regalos), tratando de desarme de un resfriado, llendo al gimnasio diariamente, limpiando y empacando. Como ya sabras las preparaciones de las fiestas son cansadas, así que no te olvides de relajarte un poquito y disfrutar.

I had my eye on this bag for a quite some time. Finally decided to get it as my Christmas present, after-all its been a long year of hard work. Moreover on that today it's a year since I did my first post and "launch" the blog. Even if its not been a great success and I keep wondering if its worth it or not; this is has been a self reflection, a journal of the good and bad things that NYC has given me. Therefore, bare with me in this ride that still has a long way to go.

NYC FNO 2011. . Shameless!

Talk about no shame, and me being lost all this time. But finally I am going trough the NYC FNO pictures before they become older than anything. As always NY as imaginable experiences. The highlight of the night was running into Anna Wintour and about to met her, they cut us on the line and she disappears!  Just our luck, but we got a good glimpse at her. Hey how many people can say this? By the way her hair is P-E-R-F-E-C-T-I-O-N! What is you secret Anna?

Today was a much needed lazy Sunday. Still can't believe October is here. September on the other hand was crazy! Between work, helping out for the Marchesa show, my photography class & exhibit, trying to keep up with the gym and life, I was pretty much drowning. But I'm back and with lots of pictures to share so stay tuned.

This Karl Lagerfeld dress makes me feel so special... because well, it's by Karl! The all-black with high white collar gave just the perfect Karl-esque signature. And the bright red Birkin adds a fabulous touch of color. The shots today are by Sartorial Girl. Before we finished this shoot, it started pouring. Imagine us running in these!

Entre el trabajo, ayudando para la pasarela de Marchesa, mi clase y exhibición de fotografía, el gym y tratando de llevar mi vida, me estaba ahogando. Pero ya estoy de vuelta y con bastantes fotos para el blog, asi que mantente al pendiente.

Este vestido de Karl Lagerfeld es tan especial que me hace sentir igual... Por la sencilla razon que es de el! Vestido negro con el cuello blanco da el perfecto Karl-esque look. Imagine a nosotras corriendo en estos tremendos zapatos!

A year's passed.

A year from today this girl stood at LGA airport with 4 suitcases and no idea of where she was heading. Now, I might stand taller and with a better perspective. But truth is, this is still just the beginning. The city can make you or break you; just remember every-time you fall straight on your face, to stand up stronger and ready to fall again.

The look in your eyes. .

A couple of months ago I was featured along with other photography students in a small exhibit. These were the pictures selected for it. This month the story repeats; I am am working on the upcoming exhibit for September 19. Right after Fashion Week, which gives the opportunity to get great shots.
