Bonjour Karl. . !

I find myself overexcited by the fact that Karl Lagerfeld will be in Macy's to launch his capsule collection in September. I am just afraid that I might freeze, act like complete idiot and he might find me awkward. With nothing else but Karl in my mind I found this as a coincidence looking trough a Helmut Newton book. My bad if this last picture looks a little faded, scanned directly from the book, "Portraits."
I might post some more, I am obsessing over photography books right now (oldies), doing some research and looking for some black & white inspiration..

A Summer's Eve. .

Central Park looks beautiful most of the year. It is actually good to get to see the 4 seasons. I mean, coming from California there's not much of a difference. And specially coming from the desert area. Where it's just hot most of the time. It will a year in September since I moved to NYC. I think its an excuse to go out and celebrate!
How was your weekend?

The last tale. .

Today was the Harry Potter Premier in London. The tale's end, and for a lot of us our childhood-youth's favorite story. Can't wait to finally see it.
Meanwhile I love this Oscar de la Renta on Emma, I cannot think of a more perfect dress for the occasion. She is just flawless. .

Let the sky shine. .

4th of July sunset, Macy's fireworks NYC, reflection of fireworks on buildings & the Hudson river post fireworks.
To be honest this is my fist-ever 4th of July celebration. I use to run to Mexico every-time there was a day off or holiday, (I used to live in L.A). But since now I am 3,000 miles away I had to stay and watch the fireworks. For 30 min the sky was illuminated by something else than just the usual city light's. I was amazed at the massive amount of people there was. Even a little scared, but everybody behaved. It was nice . .
How was your weekend?

Estuvo algo bien. .
Como te la pasaste el fin?

Project Runway

This past Friday I was lucky enough to assist to the fist time ever, public Project Runway show. It was an overcast day, rain was coming and going. "A little rain will not stop fashion" -Heidi said. And we are glad it didn't
Heidi, Nina & Michael were there, they are the nicest! I was taking some pictures when Michael Kors stop & starred "That is a fabulous bag you have there" I was shocked, I just stood there petrified and even though I would of love to have a little chitchat with him. The words wouldn't come of my mouth. It was a nice start to the weekend.
Also, about the runway, the models were wearing stilts. As if just walking the runaway wasn't difficult enough! They didn't explain anything nor even mention the names of the designers. We shall see until it airs at the end of this month. .
